This summary is written in plain language so you can actually read it. BounceZip is built privacy-first — we process email data to verify it, and nothing more.
1. What we collect
We collect the information you give us to run your account and verifications:
- Account data — your name, email, company, and password (hashed).
- Verification data — the email addresses you submit for verification, and the results we return.
- Billing data — handled by our payment processor; we never store full card numbers.
- Usage data — basic logs and analytics to keep the service secure and reliable.
2. How we use it
We use your data only to provide and improve BounceZip: verifying the emails you submit, maintaining your account and credits, processing payments, and sending essential service messages. We do not sell your data, and we never use the email addresses you verify for our own marketing.
3. Data retention
Verification lists are retained only as long as needed to deliver your results, and you can delete them at any time from your dashboard. Account and billing records are kept for as long as your account is active and as required by law.
4. Sharing
We share data only with trusted sub-processors (hosting, payments, email delivery) under strict data-processing agreements — never with advertisers or data brokers.
5. Your rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time. Email privacy@bouncezip.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

By creating an account or using BounceZip, you agree to these terms. Please read them.
1. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials and API keys secure, and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to verify only email addresses you have a lawful basis to process. You may not use BounceZip to send spam, harvest addresses unlawfully, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
3. Credits & payment
- One standard verification uses 1 credit; catch-all checks use 5 credits.
- Credits are prepaid, never expire, and are only consumed on emails actually verified.
- Unused credit packs can be refunded within 30 days of purchase.
4. Service availability
We target 99.9% uptime and back it with an SLA on paid plans, but the service is provided "as is." Verification results are best-effort estimates of deliverability, not a guarantee that any message will be delivered.
5. Termination
You can close your account anytime. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. On termination, unused paid credits remain refundable per section 3.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, BounceZip's total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

BounceZip is built to help you stay GDPR-compliant when verifying the personal data of EU/EEA residents.
1. Roles
For the email addresses you upload, you are the data controller and BounceZip is the data processor — we process that data solely on your instructions to perform verification.
2. Lawful basis
You're responsible for having a lawful basis (such as legitimate interest or consent) to process and verify the addresses you submit. Verification itself supports data accuracy — a core GDPR principle.
3. Data Processing Agreement
We offer a DPA to all customers covering processing scope, sub-processors, security measures, and breach notification. Request one at dpa@bouncezip.com.
4. Data location & transfers
Data is processed on EU-compliant infrastructure, with Standard Contractual Clauses in place for any transfers outside the EEA.
5. Security & deletion
- Encryption in transit and at rest.
- Verification lists deletable on demand and auto-purged after processing.
- Strict access controls and audit logging.
6. Data-subject requests
